PENTA was founded in 1990 as a private company.
The company is the producer and supplier of pure, laboratory, special, pharmaceutical and technical chemicals. A characteristic feature of the PENTA products is their standard quality and, therefore, reliability. The company is well known not only to customers in the Czech Republic but to foremost foreign companies.
The company supplies approximately 8,500 highly sophisticated products on the market; in addition to the standard quality of these products, the company ensures professional service and consulting, primarily information on the quality parameters of the products, safety class, type of packing and requirements for transportation.
As a result of this permanent quality improvement, the company was awarded the
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate in 1997. At present, the ČSN EN ISO 9001:2000 standard is being implemented in the company.
At present, the company's activity is centralized in three independent divisions: a production division in Chrudim (production of pure and special chemicals) , pharmaceutical division (pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediates, products agreeably to GMP, laboratory diagnostics) and commercial division in Prague.
The commercial division in Prague manages the activities of both production units and direct sales to customers or, as the case may be, indirect sales through a network of distributors and their consignment stocks. This division also ensures service and consulting activities.
